8th Edition-- March 26, 2012

Well fans, it’s time to get back into action!  Heed the calls from Kaeleen Ringberg….

Dear Recall Supporters,

We are a mere month a way from the Recall Primary Election and just over two months before the General Election. For the last 15 months we have fought so hard to spread the word about Scott Walker's cronyism and direct attacks on the people of Wisconsin. We have watched time and time again as he has chosen to serve big  business and big money instead of serving the people of Wisconsin. He took away union rights, he took away our advances in clean and renewable energy, he took away badger care from 22,000 children and reduced a woman's access to preventative health care and contraceptives. Now it is our turn to take Wisconsin's future  away from Scott Walker!

We have 10 weeks folks! 10 WEEKS UNTIL THIS IS OVER!!! Our office is open every day 10-7 and we need you! We need you to find the time, find the energy and find the passion to fight for our state and fight for our rights. We need to make sure EVERYONE has access to the polls and has the ability to get a photo id and to register properly. We need to make phone calls, canvass neighborhoods, pass out literature...WE NEED TO DO THIS! This is our one and only chance to do this right.

If we are successful in removing Scott Walker from office, then we will not only change the political climate in Wisconsin, we will be making a statement on behalf of the entire country, that the passion of the people CAN defeat the pocketbooks of the wealthy. Now is your chance to make history and to make revolution, now is your time to get involved.

Here are some up coming events:

Meet a Candidate running against Walker: Kathleen Vinehout will be in Ashland Thursday March 29th at the Black Cat beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Saturday March 31st 11am-1pm  "Bake Sale for Sean Duffy"---In front of Ashland Recall Office
The end of March will mark the one year anniversary of 7th Congressional District Representative Sean Duffy remarking that he was “struggling” to make ends meet on his $174,000 salary. Try as he might to retract the statement, the “struggling” comment Duffy made is clear evidence that he is wholly out-of-touch and cannot relate to the true struggles of the working Wisconsin families he was elected to represent.
To ‘assist’ Struggling Sean Duffy in making ends meet and keeping a roof (or TWO — he does own two large houses) over his head, we’ll be having bake sales. We’ll have a table and baked goods set up for sale. And we’ll be explaining to passers-by and customers why we’re having the bake sale, with tongue in cheek. Any money raised will be used to fund the placement of a TV ad on the "struggling" topic.

We need volunteers to run the bake sale and yummy baked goods contributed!

Wednesday April 4th; Unity Day Office Party with Mike Tate on Video Stream
On April 4th there will be house parties and office parties all over the state to celebrate what we are calling Unity Day. As the primary draws nearer we all have our own candidates in mind. What is important is that whoever wins the primary has the full support of all those who want to see Walker removed from office. Join us for a celebration at the Ashland Recall Offce (316 W Main st) and at 6:30 Mike Tate, chairman of the DPW, along with a special guest will lay out the game plan for how we are going to defeat Walker in the upcoming election.
We need a coordinator for the event along with volunteers to bring food! Please contact Kaeleen if you can volunteer!

Help Wanted:

2-3 part time office coordinators: Office coordinators will help with the daily operations of the office. This includes helping run phone banks, canvassing sessions and helping train new volunteers. Kaeleen will be traveling throughout the region helping coordinate efforts in several counties and needs help running the office when she is away. Please contact Kaeleen if you are interested.

Recall Walker Intern:  A great opportunity for a high school or college intern who is interested in being a part of this historic events. This is a 10-15 hour a week internship that will give a young individual experience in political organizing....a great resume builder!  Please contact Kaeleen if you know of a young person who may be interested.....
